About three years ago, while conducting a community of young people who needed lots of care and attention, the Lord started to speak to my heart regarding the needs of those who lived in distant places and were not able to regularly receive the spiritual nourishment that they were hungry for. He made me feel the aching of their hungry hearts, but the pressing responsibilities of that time made it difficult for us to visit them more often.
This was not easy for me, as I really wanted to do God’s will and …

Last week was a very important one, non only for us, but especially for what God intends to do here in Italy, as on Friday we started to broadcast again our regular Online Webinars to “Heal Broken Hearts“, and the reaction of the participants was phenomenal!  People were touched and hearts were healed throughout the evening, as it was testified by the wonderful reactions that were shared during the event. We passed the mic around and it was difficult to get it back, as everyone had a testimony to share! What …

Summer is clearly over and fall has been all around us, with the alternating of cold spells and warm air coming from the south, accompanied by rains that are flooding the fields. These are just a few of the signs of a season that is changing and we hope that it will bring some “positive” changes also in our lives…
Unfortunately we usually don’t associate the season of fall with “positive” changes, because what we see is that, after the harvesting of the fruits of the earth, creation is starting to …

Today is Sunday, October 25th, 2009, and I just finished reading a best-selling book which has greatly impacted my life! It’s entitled “The Shack” (by W. P. Young) and it’s the story of a man who, after carrying the burden and anguish of guilt for the loss of his daughter in traumatic circumstances, meets with God in unusual settings and goes through a healing process that will restore his soul and change his life forever.
I don’t intent to tell you the whole story here, as you will probably want to …

With summer gone and fall being under way, we hope that you enjoy finding us here with our Weekly Reflections. There’s not a better time to reflect on the true meaning of our existence but on the weekly “rest day” that God has ordained for our physical, emotional and spiritual wellness, so that we would have time to invest in our communion with Him.
Is it ever happened to you that, while you were at the phone with someone, you heard the beep of a “call waiting” for you, but you …

Many years ago, when I was contemplating a full time missionary service, I read that the famous evangelist, Paul Rader, was once asked: “Why are the laborers always so few?” He replied: “They can’t seem to be broken fast enough, and God can only use truly broken men and women!”
The writing continued: “”How true! God only uses broken men and women, no others will do! Others are too self-confident in their own strength! God has to break them, melt them and mold them again in the hands of the Potter …

It was the summer of 1980, and Patrizia and I, with our 3 years old little girl, Chiara, had come from our mission field of Bangladesh to Italy for a little furlough, and we were camping in a caravan by Lago Maggiore, one of the big lakes in the north of our country. Together with us were two other young couples with their little ones, each with their own caravan, and they were hungry for God’s Word. We were sitting by the lake, under a tree, and I was teaching …

Today we had another Blessing Ceremony for our 2nd grandchild, Leonardo, who was born of our 2nd daughter, Sara, and her husband, Wayne, on July 28, 2009. This is the card that Patrizia and I prepared for it, and left as a memento for him and his parents and relatives (Please join us in prayer for Leonardo, as you read along, thank you!):

What a beautiful portrait to see my daughter coming down from the stairs, with the baby in her arms, and then putting it in the little baby’s chair next to me, with a reassuring voice that “mummy is going to be back soon”, and that “meanwhile grandpa is going to look after you”. What a sense of worthiness it gives me to know that I have a role in this little one’s life, that I’m like a “father figure” that is going to be watching over her!
The baby feels secure …

A lot of things have happened during just one week, since the last Reflection that I wrote, when last Sunday I was watering the flowers in our garden and I was thinking about the care and attention that God gives to each one of us, His children, and the “eternal value” that each one of us has, as an individual, in God’s project for His eternal kingdom!
This continues to be an amazing thought for me, the idea that we truly are eternal beings, destined to spend eternity in …
